- Holy Word for Morning Revival:Starting today, we began to cover the new HWMR book, “Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (2).” This week, we will enjoy Week #1 message, “The Seed of David Becoming the Son of God.” These messages were given during the December 2024 Semiannual Training.
- Important Update: New Entry and Exit System for the Meeting Hall:
Over the past several years, there have been many dangerous situations when driving out of the meeting hall due to cars parked on both sides of the gate, obstructing visibility. In fact, there have been multiple instances where drivers almost collided with vehicles coming from the left because they could not see them.
To address this issue, we requested the City of Lomita to paint red curbs on both sides of the gate to prohibit parking in those areas. However, after reviewing our request, the city informed us that it would not grant approval. Instead, they proposed a change to the traffic flow system for entering and exiting the meeting hall.
According to their recommendation, the gate on 241st Street will be used only for entry, and the gate on Narbonne Avenue will be used only for exit. Therefore, we have installed a new gate on the Narbonne Avenue side by converting the previously unused swing gate into a sliding gate.
Starting next Lord’s Day, the gate on 241st Street will be used exclusively for entering, and the Narbonne Avenue gate will be used exclusively for exiting. Please be aware that when exiting through the Narbonne Avenue gate, you must make a right turn only. Turning left is not only unsafe, but also illegal due to the presence of a solid yellow center line, which may not be crossed.
Also, you should not park in the right-hand passage leading to the Narbonne Ave gate. However, you may park on the opposite (left-hand) side, as one half of the gate will be open while the other half will always remain closed.
We are currently installing the necessary signs to help everyone adjust to this new system.
In the near future, we plan to install an automatic gate opener with a sensor on the Narbonne Avenue gate, allowing it to open automatically when a vehicle approaches.
Although this change may cause some inconvenience, we kindly ask for your full understanding and cooperation, as it is being implemented for the safety of all our saints.
