- For the follow-up of the SoCal High School Conferences:
This past weekend, a total of 506 high schoolers and serving ones from churches across Southern California attended the conference with the HS sisters in Cerritos and the HS brothers in Irvine.
From Torrance, two high school sisters, Isabella and Mia, also attended with their mother, sister Angie.
The topic was on “The Humanity of Jesus.” Through the four messages they received a vision of the only kind of humanity that can fulfill God’s purpose, saw their need to eat and masticate the proper humanity of Jesus as the meal offering, and stand as acacia boards overlaid with gold signifying the uplifted humanity of Jesus, and realized that the shining out of the proper humanity of Jesus in their daily living is the remedy and healing power to this present age.
Please pray that our high schoolers would be sober-minded in the digestion of these messages, that their minds would be guarded against the attacks of the enemy by eating Jesus, and taking in the humanity of Jesus to exercise dominion on their campuses.
- For the First Lord’s table meeting in Nanterre and Toulouse, France:
The first Lord’s table meeting will take place in Nanterre (Paris region) on 2 November (mini-conference on 1 November) and in Toulouse, France, on 9 November (fellowship meeting on 8 November). Please pray for the beginning of the church life and for the raising up of shining golden lampstands in these two cities and throughout France.
- For Bibles for America:
In the month of September, we received over 22,000 Bible orders, a 59% increase over August. We are working to package and ship them out in a timely way—more days of labor have been added at our distribution center, and a new labeling machine has helped to speed up our process and output capacity.
Please pray for an increased supply of grace and wisdom to carry out this labor.
Pray also for the Bible recipients, that they would read, pray, and enjoy the Lord in His Word.
- For the community gospel preaching and truth spreading in the Torrance area:
[John 15:5, 16] I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and I set you that you should go forth and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you.
“When the Lord returns, all the believers as His servants will have to give an account to Him. If we have not borne fruit, we will be condemned by the Lord as slothful and evil slaves and be cast into outer darkness for a thousand years. Since the Lord will return and ask us to give Him an account, we should not feel at peace to die without having brought forth spiritual children.” (CWWL, 1993, vol. 1, “Southern California Elders’ and Co-workers’ Meetings,” ch. 19, p. 278)
*Please pray for the vitalization of all the saints and the carrying out of the God-ordained way to bear fruit for the increase and spread of Christ.
*Pray that the Lord would bless the contacting of people through gospel preaching and the distribution of Bibles with ministry books, resulting in the bearing of much remaining fruit.
*Pray that the Lord would bring many young working saints and couples for the raising up of the next generation.
- For the Gospel work at El Camino College:
Please continue to pray that the Lord would bless the gospel work there to gain students as remaining fruit to be brought into the church life for His eternal purpose.
This Friday, October 31, there will be an evening meeting at UCLA for all the college students in LA. About 9 students and 3 serving ones from Elco plan to attend this college meeting at UCLA. Pray for the Lord to touch the students concerning their having a renewed and loving heart so that life can flow forth in them.
- For the saints in Torrance who are illfor the sake of His divine interests (Christ, the kingdom of God, and the house of God):
* Sister Elsy Lopez fell on the gravel outside, landed on her side, and fractured her left clavicle last two weeks ago. Please pray for her speedy recovery.
* Recently, brother James Pak has been suffering from a very severe skin disease.
Please pray that the Lord, the true Physician, would care for the sick saints and grant them healing through His all-sufficient grace, that they may experience and enjoy more of Christ throughout every medical procedure for His divine interests.
- For the young people and children to be preservedfrom the present evil age and gained by the Lord for His purpose.
- For the Lord’s Move to Asia & Africa:
Bangladesh: Pray that the saints would be led into the riches of the Lord’s word, receive supply and nourishment, and learn to treasure and appreciate the Lord’s speaking through the daily online Life-study pursuit.
Cambodia: Pray for the strengthening of the campus work, that more new believers would be perfected and be brought into a stable church life.
Myanmar: Pray that the full-time training would be richly supplied and protected by the Lord.
Vietnam: Pray that the Lord would gain more good students and open the way for the gospel of kingdom to be preached on the university campuses.
* Pray that the Lord may have a way in the following countries/region without the Lord’s testimony: Afghanistan, Iraq, Maldives, North Korea, Palestine, Syria, Turkmenistan and Yemen.
